Overview

Holiday Companies is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Cashier. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Perform multi-function duties, including fuel console operation, lottery machine management, and telecom transactions.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including basic upkeep and cleaning of equipment.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and verifying vendor deliveries.
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
  • Assist new applicants with the application process.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales and customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

Perform approximately 95% of all work indoors, with occasional exposure to extreme cold temperatures and occasional noise.

Physical Functions
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour.
  • Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands up to all day.
