Cardiovascular Laboratory Technologist

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory, executing a variety of specialized tasks. This position requires proficiency in operating radiographic fluoroscopic equipment while conducting both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Essential Qualifications- Certification from one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures within a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory.
- At least one year of experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
The Cath Lab Technologist will:
- Assist physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to foster a supportive and efficient environment in the laboratory.
- Participate in call rotation and adhere to flexible shift scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards related to licensure and certification.
This role requires a consistently positive, cooperative, and professional demeanor. Teamwork is essential, and all employees are expected to contribute to the overall success of the department.
Compensation and BenefitsSign-on Bonus, Relocation Assistance & Housing Allowance Available
Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from entry-level to advanced levels.
Shift DetailsSchedule: Monday – Friday; 8-hour shifts from 7am – 3:30pm.
On-Call Schedule: $4.00/hour while on call, with a minimum requirement of 8 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends.
Call Back Compensation: Minimum of 2 hours of pay when called in, at time and a half.
Procedure VolumeCaseload: Over 30 scheduled cases per week, including procedures such as TCAR, AAA, Peripheral vascular interventions, Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Right and Left Heart Catheterizations, STEMI, and Stroke management.
Shift Differentials- Evening Shift (3pm – 11:30pm) = 8% premium
- Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) = 11% premium
- No Weekend Differential
- Proficiency in X-ray, Monitoring, and Scrubbing.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and respond positively to feedback.
