Position Title: Accounts Receivable Representative
Compensation: Starting at $23 to $29 per hour, based on experience.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office each week.
Location: Woodinville, Washington
The Accounts Receivable Representative plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing assigned accounts, ensuring accurate posting of receipts, and addressing discrepancies while delivering customer service related to collection issues in a dynamic, target-driven environment. This position involves close collaboration with team members to devise strategies for revenue generation and collective success. The role is essential for ensuring timely and precise account payments while fostering effective and cooperative relationships with all stakeholders. Given the high level of customer interaction, a strong customer-centric approach and a positive, professional demeanor are vital.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit and Accounts Receivable.
- Familiarity with Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable principles and practices.
- Knowledge of lien laws and bond rights in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho is preferred.
- Understanding of the construction industry is preferred.
- Ability to type 40+ WPM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and other necessary equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers regarding overdue invoices, securing payment commitments and forecasting monthly collections.
- Assist in credit investigations utilizing various tools, including credit reports and financial statements.
- Establish appropriate credit limits and manage order releases from credit holds.
- Record customer payments accurately, including cash, check, and credit card transactions.
- Conduct billing, collection, and reporting activities in accordance with established deadlines.
- Verify account discrepancies by gathering and analyzing information from sales and customers.
- Maintain organized accounts receivable customer files and records.
- Adhere to all legal regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Resolve issues promptly and develop solutions that enhance revenue generation.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the department.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds and carry objects over short distances.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Some local and overnight travel may be necessary.
