Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Nursing Department Manager at ArchCare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of residents, communicating with families, and promoting positive public relations for the nursing unit.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the care of residents through collaboration with other departments.
  • Communicate with families regarding the resident's plan of care and any changes in the condition of the resident.
  • Receive and communicate information to the staff and keep Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of needs and current developments.
  • Evaluate rotation of staff and adjust section assignments as needed.
  • Promote positive public relations for the nursing unit and department.
  • Responsible for conducting monthly meetings and educating staff on new policies relating to the nursing department.
  • Oversee the implementation of new policies and procedures and periodically review current procedures, working in collaboration with the Director of Staff Development as needed.
  • Direct volunteers assigned to the unit with the assistance of the Registered Nurse.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $105,000 - $115,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have a current NYS Registered Nurse License and a High School Diploma/GED, BSN.
