Manufacturing Plant Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead our facility in Hogansville, Georgia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all production, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility operations, including production, shipping, receiving, and maintenance.
- Build a safety culture focused on best practices and good housekeeping.
- Develop a quality culture aligned with customer needs.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish budgets and manage costs to improve financial performance.
- Ensure integrity of ERP system data and manage company assets.
- Maintain good working order of equipment and facilities.
- Identify and manage local suppliers for maintenance and other needs.
- Act as liaison for local regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Oversee staffing, training, and employee development.
- Communicate and support adherence to corporate policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in production or manufacturing environment.
- Background in lumber remanufacturing, woodworking, or similar field preferred.
- Working knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies and experience in leading change.
- Analytical thinker with strong data gathering and analysis skills.
- Energetic, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent communicator and understanding of importance of 'doing what you say'.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and methods of scheduling, inventory, and shipping.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office suite.
Work Environment and Attributes
- Lumber remanufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment.
- Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management.
- Hearing protection, eyewear, and steel-toed shoes required.
- Initial travel expected, including training and possible customer visits.
