About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead our facility in Hogansville, Georgia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all production, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facility operations, including production, shipping, receiving, and maintenance.
  • Build a safety culture focused on best practices and good housekeeping.
  • Develop a quality culture aligned with customer needs.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish budgets and manage costs to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure integrity of ERP system data and manage company assets.
  • Maintain good working order of equipment and facilities.
  • Identify and manage local suppliers for maintenance and other needs.
  • Act as liaison for local regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee staffing, training, and employee development.
  • Communicate and support adherence to corporate policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in production or manufacturing environment.
  • Background in lumber remanufacturing, woodworking, or similar field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies and experience in leading change.
  • Analytical thinker with strong data gathering and analysis skills.
  • Energetic, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communicator and understanding of importance of 'doing what you say'.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and methods of scheduling, inventory, and shipping.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office suite.

Work Environment and Attributes

  • Lumber remanufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment.
  • Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management.
  • Hearing protection, eyewear, and steel-toed shoes required.
  • Initial travel expected, including training and possible customer visits.
