About the Role

We are seeking a skilled EKG Technician to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As an EKG Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing electrocardiogram tests and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of EKG equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and instructs patients on the EKG procedure
  • Performs diagnostic procedures and documents patient records
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Adapts behavior to meet the specific needs of each patient
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Preferred: Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a patient care area, with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to work well under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.
