Job Title: Senior Tax Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our team at ELO CPAs & Advisors. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality tax services to our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Execution:
    • Prepare high-level tax returns and work papers with an advisory mindset.
    • Apply knowledge of tax regulations and ensure tax compliance.
    • Prepare and analyze planning estimates to maximize tax benefits.
    • Assess and research complex tax issues and identify solutions for clients.
  • Client Interactions:
    • Meet with clients in person or via phone/virtual communications.
    • Provide client support and assistance for tax and accounting-related items.
    • Manage and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare tax work papers in compliance with firm standards using various software and programs.
    • Prepare accounting-related reports.
    • Keep thorough records for other preparers and reviewers.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work with tax team to ensure various tax processes are being performed.
    • Assist with overall tax workload, including preparation for tax managers and partners and review for junior associates and interns.
    • Comply with internal processes and procedures to maintain efficiencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
  • CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, UltraTax is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with occasional travel to client sites.
  • May require extended hours during the busy season.
