Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Education Specialist to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of safe patient care and the development of our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive learning needs assessments to identify educational priorities for our target population.
  • Design and implement evidence-based curriculum to enhance the skills and knowledge of our clinical staff.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of our educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department managers and directors to enhance staff retention and competence.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to staff to support their professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or Health Administration preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
  • Previous staff development or education experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • National certification in nursing professional development and clinical specialty preferred.
