Patient Care Associate II

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate II to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts.
This is a 40-hour per week, ongoing position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and support under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, elimination needs, ambulation, and nourishment.
- Take vital signs, perform blood sugar testing, and measure patient height and weight.
- Document patient data in the medical record in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients, maintaining situational safety standards and proper body mechanics.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as assigned and transport patients and equipment as needed.
- Provide effective hand-off to relieving Patient Care Associate and report off to assigned nurse prior to break and at end of assigned shift.
- CPR training required.
- Phlebotomy training and experience preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program.
