Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at the Medical Center of the Rockies Main Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations, selecting appropriate imaging parameters and exposure factors to ensure high-quality images.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify any issues with image quality.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition, reporting and responding to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Review patient history, physician's orders, and schedule exams, educating patients on procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
