Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our Day Program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with unique needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized programs to address clients' needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to clients, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' medical, physical, or behavioral status, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and maintenance tasks, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Participate in mandatory training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Transport clients to community-based outings, promoting socialization and community integration.
Requirements
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services field or Associate's degree with one year of experience.
  • Training: First Aid, CPR, and PMT certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and compassionate attitude.
