Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care and household chores.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to lift 70-75lbs.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with one year of experience in the Human Services field, or a high school diploma or GED with two years of experience.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, with varying shifts including weekends and evenings.
