Emergency Services Technician

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Services Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and registered nurses in providing technical care to patients, including phlebotomy, IV starts, and patient transportation.
- Document patient information and procedures, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Process patient charges and related procedures through our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians to facilitate patient care and coordinate communications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to department safety policies and standard precautions.
- Monitor equipment and troubleshoot minor issues, arranging repairs for major malfunctions.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Nurse Aide certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently during work shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, and carry up to 40 pounds a reasonable distance.
- Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, and blood and body fluids hazards on a continuous basis.
