Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI/CT Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI and CT scans, working closely with nurses, physicians, and radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI and CT scans with precision and accuracy, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret imaging results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure optimal imaging results.
  • Provide excellent patient services, including working with claustrophobic patients and ensuring their comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of A.S., B.S., or certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered in MRI or registered in MRI within one year of completing training.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Registered in CT or extensive CT experience required.
  • TN State Medical operator's license.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of MRI principles and pulse sequences.
  • Ability to properly position patients and program imaging to ensure high-quality and accurate MRI/CT examinations.
  • Ability to recognize pathology and adjust scanning parameters.
  • Must be capable of interacting and communicating with nurses, physicians, and radiologists.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety practices.
  • ALARA Principles and Radiation Safety practices.
  • Post-processing CT imagery to align with protocols.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional images of the human anatomy.
  • Understanding basic quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Basic networking and PACs knowledge.
  • Excellent patient services skills, including working with claustrophobic patients.
  • Dependable and capable of adjusting schedules to meet workload demands and staffing demands.
  • Ability to properly perform venipuncture and contrast administration.
