The NTE Projects aim to relieve congestion, improve safety, and accommodate anticipated traffic growth in North Tarrant County, Texas.

Job Description:

The Field Engineer will support the Discipline Manager and coordinate construction activities for specific project segments. This role involves site administration, quality control, health and safety, and cost control for field operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and managing processes related to construction as required.
  • Performing quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Inspecting quality of work and safety compliance according to available standards.
  • Supporting the Discipline Manager with onsite control of field works.
  • Preparing labor schedules as needed.
  • Ordering and receiving materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Proposing change orders and performing cost control of relevant activities.
  • Recommending solutions to design changes throughout the construction process.
  • Managing subcontractor scope of work respective to various contracts.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent is required. Zero to two years of experience on similar construction projects is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a strong command of Microsoft Excel, are essential. Experience in highway or road construction is recommended. The ability to influence and lead the assignment of others is also necessary.
