Job Summary:

WGNSTAR is seeking a highly skilled Onsite Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional product support and technical expertise to our customers at assigned sites. Your primary focus will be on diagnosing and resolving faults, performing preventative maintenance, and installing and commissioning vacuum pumps and abatement systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize your electromechanical skills to deliver outstanding service to customers.

Perform installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions.

Participate in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Associate degree or full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree.

1-3 years of experience in semiconductor vacuum pump and abatement systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Positive attitude, energetic, and enthusiastic with a strong willingness to learn and commitment to excellence.

Self-starter with ability to set priorities, demonstrate initiative, and exercise good independent judgment when appropriate.

Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.

Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.

Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.

Basic computer skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5 miles per day, be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, and perform tasks that require bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, crouching, kneeling in confined spaces, working at heights, on a ladder, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
