As a mobile radiologic technologist, your responsibilities will include:

Utilizing a company-provided vehicle equipped with a compact, portable x-ray machine (DR) to travel locally and perform x-rays for patients in various settings. You will support diverse patient populations, including adults, seniors, women, and children. Depending on the market, you may also have the opportunity to work with EKGs, Holter Monitors, and Pacemaker Checks. Daily Responsibilities

Your daily activities as a mobile radiologic technologist will encompass:

  • Traveling by vehicle to conduct portable x-rays in a variety of environments, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and private residences.
  • Assessing and determining appropriate electronic and technical parameters based on patient requirements.
  • Adhering to ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Preparing and transmitting accurate physician and patient orders in a timely manner.
  • Setting, adjusting, and operating various electronic equipment to capture diagnostic images, which may include EKGs and Holter Monitors.
  • Ensuring that equipment is functional and ready for use before and after each shift.
  • Assisting with order management, validation of studies, communication with interpreting radiologists, and other administrative support tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Compliance with all state and federal regulations for performing portable x-rays, including one or more of the following: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R) or Limited Scope X-ray Operator, in accordance with state-specific requirements.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Capability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate stairs easily while carrying equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
