Job Summary

Fayette County Head Start Pre-k is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As a Head Start Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities, preparing teaching materials, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of preschool children
  • Prepare and coordinate teaching materials and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective program
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • At least three years of experience working with preschool children
  • Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices and the Head Start Performance Standards
