Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with assigned suppliers to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Oversee the supplier's Open Order Report, working closely with them to mitigate risks and identify delivery improvement opportunities.
  • Address issues with sub-tier suppliers to enhance communication and set realistic production targets.
  • Encourage interdepartmental communication to avert unnecessary delays.
  • Provide regular updates on critical components and overall delivery performance.
  • Monitor delivery performance trends, initiating root cause analyses and corrective measures as needed.
  • Local travel is a requirement for this position.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • A college degree is preferred; however, extensive experience may substitute for formal education.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing is required, with a preference for experience in the Aerospace and Defense sectors.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment motor vehicle history check.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management is essential.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, Risk Management, Six Sigma, and Kaizen is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a keen attention to detail are crucial.
  • Strong independent decision-making abilities and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Experience with electronics commodities is preferred.
