Charter Operations Specialist

Flexjet is currently seeking a highly skilled Charter Operations Specialist to join our Operations department. This position works closely with the Scheduling Department and external suppliers to ensure all Owner trips are covered to meet company standards and the expectations of our Owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external charter vendors to optimize aircraft scheduling and ensure seamless trip execution.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Department to identify and book suitable aircraft for Owner trips, taking into account factors such as range, capacity, and runway requirements.
  • Ensure that all trips are scheduled on aircraft that meet Owner expectations and specifications, while also adhering to Flexjet's safety standards.
  • Monitor and escalate any issues of immediate importance to operations management and client services.
  • Negotiate pricing with charter vendors to optimize buying strategies and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with charter vendors, as well as develop new relationships to expand Flexjet's network.
  • Verify that all vendors meet Flexjet's safety standards prior to every trip.
  • Conduct post-trip reviews to ensure on-time performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Audit and approve invoices for payment to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through prompt communication and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) in regard to Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn customized company software programs.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, as well as problem-resolution skills, are required.
  • Successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism while multitasking various real-time situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexjet operates 24/7, and candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates.
