Job Summary:

The Research Officer position at St. Catherine University is a key role in the Institutional Advancement department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting a comprehensive prospect, portfolio, and moves management program. This includes prospect research profiles, portfolio and pool data, and providing monthly reports to the Vice President. The Research Officer will work closely with the development team to identify and prioritize prospects, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM Advance system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive prospect, portfolio, and moves management plan
• Provide monthly reports to the Vice President on prospect activity and progress
• Identify and prioritize prospects for the development team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM Advance system
• Conduct research on prospects and provide detailed briefings to the development team

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They will have three years of prospect research experience in a higher education setting, and extensive investigative and research skills. The successful candidate will be able to analyze and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources, and will have demonstrated proficiency in database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. They will also have a strong understanding of the mission, purpose, and values of a comprehensive university, and will be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
