Respiratory Therapy Internship Opportunity

Elevate Care Northbrook is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapy Intern to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing respiratory care and working closely with our experienced Respiratory Therapists.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in providing respiratory care to patients, including administering medications and treatments under supervision.
  • Perform technical respiratory treatments, such as ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
  • Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of patient condition.
  • Provide patient education on diseases, medications, and treatment options.
  • Assist in maintaining and cleaning of respiratory equipment, as well as monitoring and managing respiratory inventory.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in the second year of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
