Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Dental Hygienist to join our team We are a private, PPO and fee for service practice providing top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. As a hygienist, you will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams . The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least one year of experience. Days needed are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Hours are flexible. Responsibilities

Provide preventive dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth, applying sealants, and fluoride treatments.

Provide Periodontal Therapy which includes but not limited to Full Mouth Scaling and Root Planing.

Assess patient oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene techniques.

Evaluate teeth and soft tissue for signs of disease or other conditions.

Obtain x-rays, panorex, intra oral pictures and obtain other diagnostic tests.

Record medical and dental histories/updates of patients.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating patients next recare appointments

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred

Current Dental Hygienist licensure

At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines

Anesthetic certification

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Dental software experience. Dentrix preferred
