Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing cost-effective, quality, and attractive developments for our private owners and municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and manage a variety of private owner and public sector driven civil engineering projects
  • Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines, clients, and consultants
  • Attend city staff and planning and zoning, and City council/board meetings
  • Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
  • Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare civil entitlements and construction documents
  • Prepare preliminary and final drainage reports
  • Prepare sitework and utility technical specifications
  • Prepare project proposals
  • Assist with business development efforts
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 8 – 15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Experience working with private owner and public sector projects and clients
  • Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
  • Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required
  • Contract and negotiating skills
  • Sanitary sewer, water distribution, and storm water management design experience required
