About the Role
This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office and virtual work. You will be responsible for managing a busy and time-sensitive caseload, working independently and as part of a team. You will also be expected to possess excellent research and written and oral advocacy skills.
Responsibilities
* Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial* Work closely with our team to provide exceptional legal services to our clients* Manage a busy and time-sensitive caseload, working independently and as part of a team* Possess excellent research and written and oral advocacy skills* Demonstrate a strong understanding of civil procedure and evidence and trial procedures* Work in a paperless environment and have experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling* Possess strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation* Be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately* Meet the qualifications outlined below
Qualifications
* Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials* Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar* 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience* Experience working in a paperless environment* Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling* Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation* Potential salary range: $125,625.00-$160, starting salary will be based on background and experience* Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)
