Auto Casualty Claims Adjuster

Stillwater Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Auto Casualty Claims Adjuster to join our team in our Jericho, NY office. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing, investigating, and resolving auto, premises, and commercial liability claims in a timely and professional manner.

• Provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers.
• Manage and investigate claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Interpret policies and analyze details to determine the best course of action.
• Secure necessary information to assist in the investigation of claims.
• Responsible for managing complex auto litigation, maintaining cost controls, and overseeing the work of outside counsel.
• Establish and maintain timely and appropriate loss reserves and expense budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all state, legal, statutory, and regulatory bodies.

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, and two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient on database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
