Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly skilled Staff Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of exhaust nozzle components. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with engineers and technical experts to assess design tradeoffs, solve complex problems, and recommend solutions. Your expertise will be essential in driving innovation and advancing the state-of-the-art in exhaust nozzle design.
Key Responsibilities- Execute design and analysis of exhaust nozzle components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards.
- Develop specialized knowledge of exhaust nozzle mechanical design and integration with the exhaust nozzle module, engine, or airframe.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Participate in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers.
- Lead small to medium complexity projects optimizing exhaust nozzle component design.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience in relevant mechanical design engineering position.
- US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 8-10 years of experience in relevant mechanical design engineering position.
- Proficiency with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS.
- Extensive experience with 3D Modeling software, preferably Unigraphics/NX.
- Passion for the aviation industry and advancing the state-of-the-art.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
