Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.
Responsibilities:- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance
- Performs standard component inspections and repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems
- Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs
- Replaces defective components
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
- Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
