About the Position:
We are seeking a qualified Massage Therapist to provide professional and engaging wellness therapies to our clients. You will offer a full range of treatments to fulfill different client needs and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage techniques, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor.


Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality massage treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other specialized techniques;

Assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate treatments;

Create and maintain accurate client records, including treatment notes;

Ensure the massage room and equipment are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained;

Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer service;

Adhere to all applicable local and state regulations and licensing requirements; and

Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry trends.

Required Qualifications:
Valid Massage Therapy License in the state of Virginia;

Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Massage Therapist;

Proficiency in various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage);

Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries; and

Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:
CPR and First Aid certification

About the Department:
The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center is one of the largest facilities of its type in Northern Virginia, located on the Science and Technology campus in Prince William County of George Mason University. The center features a 50-meter competition pool, leisure pool, whirlpool, and other amenities. As a Massage Therapist, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional wellness services to our clients.
