Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Neonatal team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to premature and critically-ill infants, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

* Provide occupational therapy services to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), focusing on developmental care, feeding, and positioning.
* Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
* Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need, developing targeted interventions to promote optimal development and function.
* Educate families on developmental care and feeding techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their child's care.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote best practices in neonatal care.

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York State.
* Certification in Neonatal Touch and Massage (NTM) and/or Neonatal Certification (NANT) preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and populations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
