We are on the lookout for a Bilingual Phlebotomist to enhance our team. This position involves executing safe and effective blood collection procedures while ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory functions. The Phlebotomist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients and is an integral member of the Care Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection tasks adhering to established safety protocols
- Oversee the maintenance of laboratory equipment and storage facilities
- Promptly communicate laboratory results to patients
- Accurately complete all required documentation
- Collaborate with both internal and external laboratory partners
- Conduct quality assurance assessments and pinpoint areas for enhancement
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician is preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background
- Current BLS and CPR Certification
- Previous experience in phlebotomy or a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record Systems
