Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a renowned healthcare institution, is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer II to join our team.

This role is a key part of our diagnostic imaging department, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures as directed by physicians.

As a Cardiovascular Sonographer II, you will demonstrate expertise in the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostic studies based on physician requests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing a range of technical procedures that require independent judgment for diagnosis
  • Acquiring echocardiographic measurements per protocol, creating digital preliminary reports, and verbally communicating findings to interpreting physicians
  • Reviewing physician orders to verify appropriateness for procedures
  • Acting as a role model in providing care and assisting in precepting Cardio Sonographers I
  • Retrieving studies from PACS for review and preparing patients for procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience performing echocardiographic studies
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification
