Position Summary: The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in ensuring that guests receive outstanding service during their stay. This position is responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere and addressing guest needs with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of guest information at all times.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to promote and enhance room bookings.
  • Encourage guests to explore additional hotel amenities, including dining options and event spaces.
  • Input guest reservations accurately into the hotel management system.
  • Check guests into their rooms and ensure a smooth arrival experience.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to communicate room status updates through the designated platform.
  • Relay maintenance and housekeeping requests efficiently using the hotel’s communication system.
  • Facilitate guest departures and manage financial transactions with accuracy.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and uphold a professional appearance at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support hotel operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Understanding of financial handling policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn and implement safety and emergency protocols.
  • Proficient in the use of front office technology and equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
