Job Title: Senior Wind Energy Analyst

Apex Clean Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wind Energy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Technology team, you will play a critical role in the development and design of wind projects, helping to increase efficiency, performance, and value in Apex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage meteorological campaigns for assigned projects to reduce project uncertainty and implement industry best practices for data collection.
  • Analyze and interpret meteorological data to assess wind resource potential and support project development.
  • Optimize wind farm layouts for maximum efficiency and energy production using advanced modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Estimate energy production and uncertainty using statistical and analytical methods to support commercial teams.
  • Participate in peer review of other team members' wind analysis, layout design, and energy production estimates.
  • Lead and manage wind energy design across a multi-disciplinary team from origination through construction, ensuring milestones are met and project objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate with 3rd parties to initiate, scope, and review external studies, including wind resource and energy production estimates, sound modeling, and shadow flicker analysis.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Wind Resource Assessment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Meteorology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in wind resource assessment tools, meteorological data analysis, optimization and energy production estimation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience in managing projects independently, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain high accuracy in data analysis, reporting, and project documentation to ensure the quality and reliability of project outcomes.
