About Us:

The Tactical Aerospace Department specializes in delivering top-tier aerospace quality technology solutions for both new and existing Department of Defense systems. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop system-level and LRU architectures, employing data science and analytics methodologies to create effective data pipelines, potentially including advanced AI/ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define hardware, firmware, and AI/ML specifications for intricate flight-worthy avionics systems.
  • Engage directly with clients to ascertain system requirements and design architectures that align with their expectations.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout various projects, ensuring adherence to objectives and timelines.
  • Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to facilitate robust system designs and architectures.
  • Assist management in marketing initiatives, proposal creation for embedded avionics projects, and the formulation of product and technical roadmaps.


Daily and Monthly Duties:
  • Act as a Systems Engineer overseeing embedded avionics and aerospace projects.
  • Lead a diverse team in the development, integration, and testing of sophisticated avionics systems, including electrical, mechanical, firmware, data pipelines, data science, and AI/ML components.
  • Conduct meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to define technical requirements and aid in the creation of specification documents and system architectures.
  • Facilitate trade studies across relevant domains to optimize design decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assign functions to components/systems and translate those into actionable requirements for engineers, designers, and managers.


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with relevant experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in developing, deriving, and allocating tiered Systems Engineering requirements within avionics applications, including data pipelines and tiered data science initiatives.
  • A comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines related to avionics development, such as Systems, Hardware Development, Firmware, Integration, Testing, Bid and Proposal efforts, CONOPS, Certification, System Safety, FMEA, and laboratory activities.
  • Experience in developing architectures and a foundational to intermediate knowledge of MBSE methodologies.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.


Additional Requirements:

The selected candidate will undergo a government security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.
