Job Title: Radiology Technologist-IR

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Atlanta Interventional Institute/Atlanta Fibroid Center. As a Radiology Technologist-IR, you will play a critical role in assisting our Interventional Radiology specialist physicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in the treatment of patients while following established standards and practices.
  • Prepare the facility for procedures, calibrate equipment, and prepare medicine and materials as required.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the procedure to the patient and/or family, and practice radiation protection techniques to limit exposure to patients and medical staff.
  • Record, process, maintain patient treatment and data records, and prepare reports.
  • Clean and disinfect x-ray rooms and equipment in accordance with sterile procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of ionic and non-ionic contrast media, record, store, retrieve, and analyze data obtained during interventional procedures.
  • Understand HIPAA and patient privacy and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA policy and standards at all times.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification and active licenses in the state(s) in which employed.
  • 1 year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification, with Cath Lab and/or IR experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Radiology group and lab/facility.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Workers or BCLS certification for Healthcare workers.
