Job Title: Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Scottsdale Academy. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and preparing them for future academic success.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You will work closely with our team to develop a curriculum that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth in children.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with our curriculum goals
  • Track student progress and provide regular updates to parents
  • Guide students in developing their academic, artistic, and practical capabilities
  • Employ various educational techniques to teach children, including storytelling, educational play, and sensorial activities
  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes literacy and early education
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to student growth
  • Understand and adhere to school emergency procedures and protocol
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment
  • Supervise children at all times
Requirements:
  • Professional experience working with young children
  • Knowledgeable in child development and early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Patient, friendly, and reliable
  • DCF 45 hours (preferred)
  • Credentialed with a Child Development Associate (CDA), or Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood field of study (preferred)

Please note that a Level II Background Screening will be conducted through Florida's Background Screening Clearinghouse. If you have resided outside the state of Florida within the past five years, those state background checks will also be required. The cost of these background checks will be at the employee's expense and can be taken out of the first paycheck if requested.

We prefer applicants with special training in Early Childhood Education or the equivalent. If you are passionate about working with young children and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
