You will collaborate with store management to achieve operational objectives while representing Star MSO, Inc. with professionalism in all interactions with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate the cash register accurately and manage the gas console, adhering to all cash handling protocols, including transactions involving cash, credit cards, and checks.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including the parking lot, restrooms, and stockroom, while upholding high standards of hygiene and safety.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting them in locating products, and promoting items through suggestive selling techniques.
4. Participate in promotional activities by creating displays that highlight sale items and encourage customer engagement.
5. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Proficient in basic mathematics for handling transactions and inventory.
- Familiarity with retail equipment such as cash registers and credit card machines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures.
- Capacity to maintain focus on tasks amidst potential distractions.
- Aptitude for identifying and resolving routine issues.
Compensation
The starting salary for this position is $17.00 per hour.
