GIS Analyst Intern

Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates. Our team of nearly 1,400 employees serves the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, information technology, legal counsel, and safety and supply services.

We are seeking a student to work in our GIS environment, learning from engineers, designers, or mapping personnel as they help support GIS projects. The successful candidate will assist with reviewing GIS data for quality control and quality assurance purposes, visiting sites in the field to collect data and verify Ameren records, interacting with Ameren contractors to evaluate and confirm the validity of data provided to Ameren, documenting work practices utilized to gather, evaluate, and record GIS data, and assisting with updates to Ameren data.

We are looking for a current student pursuing a degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field from an accredited college or university. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2.5 GPA, but 3.0 GPA is preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will have solid part-time work history, strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and database skills. They will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate creative problem-solving and proactive learning, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
