GIS Analyst Intern

Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates. Our team of nearly 1,400 employees serves the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, information technology, legal counsel, and safety and supply services.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GIS Co-Op to join our team. As a GIS Co-Op, you will work in a GIS environment, learning from engineers, designers, or mapping personnel as you help support GIS projects.

• Review GIS data for Quality Control and Quality Assurance purposes
• Visit sites in the field to collect data and verify Ameren records
• Interact with Ameren contractors to evaluate/confirm the validity of data provided to Ameren
• Document work practices utilized to gather, evaluate, and record GIS data
• Assist with updates to Ameren data

• Current student status pursuing a degree in GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 2.5 GPA, 3.0 GPA preferred
• Solid part-time work history preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel preferred
• Data base skills preferred
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving and proactive learning, with good analytical, management, communication, and human relations skills
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly
• Have the ability to perform multiple tasks within given time constraints with little to no oversight
