Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for conducting thorough patient evaluations, formulating individualized care strategies based on assessment findings, and delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. The RN will monitor patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments to care plans. This role also includes supervising and delegating tasks to other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and assess relevant objective and subjective health data concerning the patient’s overall health, including biological, psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and age-related factors.
- Design, execute, and document care plans that involve family members, while upholding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families.
- Respect and incorporate patients' cultural beliefs into care plans.
- Effectively communicate care plans to the healthcare team.
- Delegate nursing tasks to qualified personnel based on their education and demonstrated competencies.
- Continuously evaluate and modify care plans to address clinical issues as they arise.
- Identify care-related concerns and liaise with appropriate departments to facilitate resolution.
- Understand roles and responsibilities during emergency situations.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and contribute to staff education.
- Ensure proficiency in all relevant computer systems and software necessary for job functions.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives.
- Utilize critical thinking in decision-making regarding patient care.

Qualifications
Education: An Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in acute care nursing is preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: A valid Registered Nurse license from the state is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory until Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is obtained within one year of employment, if applicable.
