About the job Dental Hygienist - FT/PT

Apple Valley Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a current dental hygienist license in MN and an Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene. The role involves providing exceptional patient care, conducting dental screenings, and maintaining accurate medical history documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in MN and an Associate or Bachelor degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by the office
  • New grads and experienced hygienists encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
