Job Summary

The R&D Design Engineer position is a key contributor to the development of new products and the support of current products. Reporting to the Technical Team Manager, this role applies principles and techniques of mechanical engineering and analysis in designing components, systems, and mechanical functions for floor maintenance products, including autonomous variants.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and documents components and systems using CAD software
• Develops engineering analysis and contributes to testing criteria and evaluation
• Collaborates with a technical and cross-functional team to ensure design meets requirements, providing the best balance of features, cost, and quality
• Drives prototype construction and evaluation of design concepts

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical design environment
• Ability to support occasional travel

Computer Skills

• Computer savvy with expertise in MS Office (Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience in Creo CAD modeling and Windchill data management
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
