About the Role

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer - Cleared Operations Center to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding personnel, property, and sensitive information at our DoD Cleared Operations Center in Niskayuna, NY.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer - Cleared Operations Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality security services, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and sensitive information
  • Conducting patrols within and around the facility to identify and mitigate potential security threats
  • Greeting guests and employees, and escorting visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
  • Following site-specific performance manuals and post orders, and reporting safety concerns and security breaches to client and/or other security personnel
  • Responding to and assessing security alarms or emergency situations
  • Acting as a first responder in emergency situations
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • A Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate level security clearance
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site, prior military experience, or a combination of both
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites
