Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for skilled users of Metal Building Software (MBS) to fill several key roles:

  • Estimators
  • Design Engineers
  • Detailers
  • Checkers

At Ascent, there are numerous pathways for professional development, accommodating a wide range of educational qualifications and industry experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in estimating, design, or detailing with MBS (Metal Building Software)
  • Proficiency in CADD software
  • Familiarity with Tekla software is advantageous
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong collaborative skills and a team-oriented approach

Educational Background:

  • A BS degree in engineering is preferred for design engineer candidates (Professional Engineer certification is a plus)
  • Estimators should ideally possess a BS or Associate's degree in engineering, building science, or engineering technology
  • Detailers and checkers are encouraged to have an Associate's degree in drafting or engineering technology
