Job Summary

Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical care and supervision to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with transporting students for after-hours medical attention as assigned.
  • Sort and distribute weekly medications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Chart daily medication administration in RTasks and maintain accurate records.
  • File medical records in electronic charts as assigned and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Restock dorm med rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Order medical supplies as assigned and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collect urine drug screens and prepare for lab analysis.
  • Conduct medical check-ins after travel when necessary and provide support to students.
  • Send out pharmacy orders as assigned and maintain accurate records.
  • Stock OSHA kits and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain certifications in CPR/First-Aid, TCI, and all required trainings.
  • Pursue appropriate channels of communication and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.
  • Understand the administrative structure, chain of command, and program philosophy of Mount Prospect Academy.
  • Accurately complete timecards and ensure timely approval.
  • Represent Mount Prospect Academy in a professional and respectful manner to the community, students' parents, and outside agencies.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality agreements.
