Position Overview:
We are seeking a proficient Senior Accountant with a strong focus on revenue management.

Your primary responsibilities will include accurately documenting our diverse revenue streams, reconciling general ledger accounts, executing month-end closing procedures, and contributing to our monthly financial statement variance analysis.

Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting Rover's annual audit, identifying process improvements, and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Success in this role requires a dedication to operational excellence, a results-oriented mindset, and a balanced approach to work.

This position operates in a hybrid model, with an expectation to work from our office one day a week.


Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately reconcile and record all revenue streams
- Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals
- Conduct timely account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in monthly variance analysis
- Research transactions and provide detailed analyses
- Develop and uphold accounting policies and procedures
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements for scalability
- Support financial statement and tax audits
- Document and maintain internal controls

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; CPA is preferred
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a SOX-compliant environment
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Blackline
