Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EMC/Wireless Engineer to join our team at TUV SUD America, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and performing EMC tests in accordance with national and international regulatory standards and test procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform EMC tests in a laboratory environment and in situ at customer facilities.
  • Provide support to Sales staff in preparing quotations and participate in customer kickoff calls to advise on necessary test modes or conditions.
  • Document test results in standardized test reports and review and approve test reports for projects executed by other engineers or technicians.
  • Assist in training less experienced technical staff and provide constructive feedback to increase overall quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design theory, test equipment, and technology through internal training sessions, webinars, and technical articles.
  • Provide support to customers regarding standards, test procedures, and certification requirements.
  • Generate revenue by billing engineering time to TUV SUD customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of test documentation and adherence to standard lab operating procedures.
  • Actively participate in internal and external audits and promote a positive work environment through improved communication and organization.
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of EMC engineering experience with regulatory testing experience for the FCC, ISED Canada, and the EU (ETSI).
  • Knowledge of wireless/RF communication systems and protocols for existing and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and proficiency in MS Office 365 applications.
