We are looking for a skilled and compassionate critical care nurse specialist to join our team in the Emergency Department at Mass General Brigham. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

The Critical Care Nurse Specialist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, including pediatric patients. Working collaboratively with our board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and unit service techs, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in emergency care.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, be able to set priorities effectively, and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, you should be able to function under stress while maintaining a focus on delivering quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, including pediatric patients.
  • To work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care that meets the needs of each patient.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of effective care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • To maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a telemetry setting, with a strong preference for ED experience.
  • Excellent observational skills, ability to set priorities, and good interpersonal and communication skills.
