Job Summary
  • Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, utilizing advanced assessment and clinical skills to develop and implement individualized care plans.* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and promote seamless transitions across the continuum of care.* Develop and maintain knowledge of evidence-based practices and emerging trends in critical care nursing to stay current and provide best practices for patient care.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes.* Mentor and educate new staff members on critical care nursing principles and best practices.* Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and hospital policies to ensure compliance and contribute to a culture of safety.

Requirements
  • Qualifications:

* Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts.* Minimum 1.5 years of experience in the ICU setting.* BSN degree from an accredited institution.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.* Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on staying current with best practices and emerging trends in critical care nursing.* Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technologies.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in complex situations.* Willingness to cross-train and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
